The TS-CSC100 Circular Sample Cutter is a hand-operated tool that cuts a round specimen of fixed, known area from fabric, paper and other thin, flat materials. Because the specimen area is known, the specimen can be weighed on a balance and its mass per unit area (grammage, expressed in g/m² and commonly called GSM) calculated quickly and consistently. The cutter is available in two cutting diameters, 140 mm Ø and 38 mm Ø. Cutting is carried out with a single turn of the hand wheel on top of the unit, and each cutter is supplied with four pre-installed double-edged blades and a rubber pad.
