The Film Heat Shrinkage Tester TS-FHS1 evaluates the heat shrinkage behavior of plastic films using the air-heating (air bath) method. It is designed for heat-shrinkable films manufactured from polyethylene, ethylene copolymers, and their blends, and is widely applicable to beverage labels, bottle bundling packaging, sausage casing packaging, outer films for daily chemical products, and cigarette box overwraps, among other uses.
The instrument delivers accurate, quantitative measurement of thermal shrinkage force, cold shrinkage force, shrinkage rate, shrinkage time, and other related properties exhibited by plastic films during the heat-shrinking process.
Because the test generates multiple categories of data, it enables a multi-dimensional assessment of film shrinkage performance. This supports the development of heat-shrinkable films across different materials, helps ensure consistent performance of heat-shrinkable films from batch to batch, and addresses the varied testing requirements of heat-shrinkable film applications across industries.
Conventional oven- or oil-bath-based equipment typically measures only the heat shrinkage rate, which limits the scope of the results obtained. By contrast, the TS-FHS1 assesses film thermal shrinkage performance through a broader set of data outputs.
