The TS-HS2 Vertical Heat Seal Tester is a precision laboratory instrument designed to evaluate the heat-sealing characteristics of flexible packaging materials. It is engineered to accurately determine the sealing temperature, sealing time, sealing pressure, and related sealing performance parameters of plastic vertical pouches, paper-plastic composite vertical pouches, and metal-composite vertical pouches or cartons.
Because different packaging substrates respond differently to heat and pressure, sealing behaviour must be verified on a material-by-material basis. By systematically measuring these sealing parameters, the TS-HS2 enables quality and R&D teams to identify the optimal sealing conditions for each material, supporting consistent package integrity, reduced leakage risk, and improved production efficiency.
Key Features
- High-Precision Imported Sensor for Assured Quality. The TS-HS2 is fitted with an original imported temperature sensor offering a wide control range and high sensitivity. Temperature control accuracy reaches ±1°C, and the sensor delivers excellent long-term stability together with a very low failure rate, ensuring dependable, repeatable results test after test.
- Independent Sealing Temperature Control. A dedicated temperature sensor is mounted behind the heat-sealing knife. The inner and outer sealing knives are controlled independently, with their temperatures set and regulated separately, allowing precise tuning of the sealing profile for complex multi-layer materials.
- Flexible Manual and Automatic Test Modes. Operators can freely choose between manual and automatic testing. Automatic mode saves time and offers fully automated, repeatable heat-sealing cycles, ideal for high-throughput testing. Manual mode is operated via a foot switch — pressing the pedal engages the sealing knife — and includes safety protection features that make the instrument easy and safe to operate.
