The TS-8186-B is a PLC controlled filtrability test instrument developed for evaluating the filtration performance of plastic raw materials, color masterbatches, and other solid particulate blends. The instrument's test methodology is compliant with the European standard EN13900-5:2005 and is well suited to PP, PE, and other polyolefin materials, as well as pigment dispersion assessment in masterbatch formulations. Built around a precision single screw extruder, a melt metering pump, a fine filtration screen, and high accuracy melt temperature and pressure sensors, the TS-8186-B delivers repeatable, data driven measurements that support product development, formulation optimization, and quality control across the plastics processing industry.

The TS-8186-B is developed for evaluating the filtration performance of plastic raw materials, color masterbatches, and other solid particulate blends.

Precision Single Screw Extrusion System

The instrument is built around a precision single screw extruder with a Φ20 mm screw, 1:28 length/diameter ratio, and 0–95 rpm frequency-controlled rotation speed.

High-Accuracy Melt Monitoring

High precision melt temperature and melt pressure sensors continuously monitor melt conditions, with the 0–40 MPa melt pressure sensor providing head pressure detection and interlock loop control of host operation.

PLC-Based Process Monitoring

The PLC programmable color touch screen provides man-machine interface operation and dynamically displays and monitors the extrusion process, including temperature control, drive, speed, pressure, and interlocking functions.
